What's the Joshua Tiong story?

I've always had trouble answering this question, so let me share what comes to mind:

Business nerd. People advocate. Curious and analytical. Enterprising spirit. Community builder. Trusted advisor. Problem solver. Innovation enthusiast. Noodle lover. Ninja by night.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR WORK?

My curiosity has taken me down many interesting roads so far in life's journey. Today, I bring it all together as a growth-focused professional, strategic advisor, and educator who's driven to help people and their companies succeed. I am trusted by clients to provide informed assessments of their current situation, to recommend pragmatic solutions tailored to their situation, and to make these recommendations a reality.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

I love helping good people win at what they love. I also get a kick out of solving problems, learning new concepts, and optimizing systems for productivity; the more complex the problem, the more interesting it is, and the more gratifying it is to solve!

WHAT'S YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND?

Right now, I am hyper-focused on helping organizations scale by pushing forward with the right structure and culture.

Prior to this, the bulk of my experiences were in delivering work at global management consulting and technology firms, and telling stories for amazing brands via marketing agencies. These experiences trained me extensively in strategy, operations, sales, marketing, and business-technology integration.

WHAT ARE YOUR VALUES?

There are some absolute non-negotiable ones for me, and I've committed to them by naming a former business after my values: Thoughtful. Disciplined. Curious. Kind.

Having worked on various projects with global teams/clients based in a dozen countries across five continents, I am a firm believer in excellence through diversity. If you're interested, some details can be found on my LinkedIn profile.

During my lifetime, I am striving to make an impact in influencing the world towards a more TDCK place.

Hobbies? Extras?

Some things I love: volunteering (capacity building advisory or tough physical work!), traditional archery, martial arts, and discovering human languages. Oh, and eating. Give me all your noodles!
